TODAY’S TMJ4 presents the Sports Auction 4 MACC, December 11th

Web Posted: Nov. 11, 2004

Bid high and bid often on Saturday, December 11th and give a gift that keeps on giving during the TODAY’S TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC. Be sure to tune in to TODAY’S TMJ4 on Saturday, December 11th from 1:30 – 3:30pm for one-of-a-kind sports collectibles for that special sports fan in your life.

TODAY’S TMJ4’s Mike Jacobs and Carole Meekins along with Jonathan Green of News Radio 620WTMJ will set the stage as hosts for this great 2-hour live televised sports auction. Scott Kelnhofer, associate editor of Sports Collectors Digest, one of several sports collectibles publications produced by Krause Publications in Iola will be on hand to provide expertise on authentication of autographed items as well as to provide his professional knowledge of value as he has so well since the inception of the Sports Auction in 1997.

Featured items include unique and authenticated autographed items from Brett Favre, Robin Yount, and Lance Armstrong, to name a few. Ticket packages from the Bucks, Wave, Golden Eagles and Admirals offer something for everyone.

The MACC Fund is pleased to partner with presenting sponsors:

Sargento Thrivent TREK Medical College of Wisconsin

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will extend your generous support by matching the final tally. Over the last 6 years, Thrivent has contributed $600,000 to the MACC Fund.

TODAY'S TMJ4 has made a significant special broadcast commitment to the MACC Fund since 1981. Its Sports Auction 4 MACC continues this tradition of quality programming to provide awareness and funds for research for children with cancer. The MACC Fund presented TODAY'S TMJ4 with its Don Contardi Commitment Award this year. The award honors the memory of an early board member who died from cancer in 1984. It is the only award the MACC Fund bestows each year.

Proceeds from the TODAY'S TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC will help the MACC Fund continue its mission to support critical pediatric cancer research. The primary beneficiary of MACC Fund support is the Midwest Children's Cancer Center of the Medical College of Wisconsin as well as the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Comprehensive Cancer Center.
